Information: COVID-19

Prospect Homecare Agency is committed to ensuring you receive quality care even in the midst of a pandemic. Our highly trained clinicians are experienced in infection control and prevention and continue to provide care directly in your home with all the proper protective equipment. Our clinicians may ask you a series of questions regarding any exposure to COVID-19 and are held to the same standards for the safety of themselves and others.

Having therapy or skilled nursing provided in your home is not only convenient but most often safest as everyone tries to avoid mass public spaces like doctor’s offices and grocery stores. You may now be eligible to receive home health services if you are over the age of 65 or your health would be compromised if exposed to COVID-19.

You are eligible for Home Health Services due to COVID-19 if:

  • You are currently under the care of a primary care physician
  • You require skilled care, such as skilled nursing,  physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech therapy; and
  • You are considered homebound, which now includes having a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19 or being at risk of severe illness from COVID-19 because:
  • You are 65 years old or older
  • You are any age and have an underlying medical condition such as cancer, chronic kidney disease, COPD, immunocompromised state or have a weakened immune system, have a serious heart condition, severe obesity, Type 2 diabetes mellitus, or others.
  • Call us today to find out if you may be eligible to receive home health services.

How we are helping to keep you and your family safe:

  • We’re taking every extra step necessary to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 during this pandemic. Prospect Homecare Agency has:
  • Telehealth is now available. If you are weary about having our staff in your home, you can still receive home health services via telehealth. You must have video and audio capabilities in order to qualify for telehealth services.
  • A dedicated team who have been trained in proper wearing of protective equipment, infection control and management as well as proper hygiene.
  • Our clinicians are provided with protective equipment such as maks, gloves and hand sanitizer. Our staff will be wearing gloves and a mask at each visit. We may also ask our patients to wear a mask if possible. N-95 masks are available for our staff when needed.
  • Questionnaires regarding COVID-19 exposure are asked prior to arriving at your home for your safety and ours.
  • Our care team must also complete a self-assessment screening themselves prior to seeing you.
  • We educate you and your family on ways to prevent the spread, proper hygiene, and symptoms to watch out for.
